The Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO) will hold its 30th edition from 20 to 27 March 2027 in Burkina Faso's capital. Founded in 1969, the biennial festival remains the major meeting point for the cinemas of Africa and its diaspora.

The chosen theme, “African cinemas and endogenous development”, highlights cinema's role in the continent's cultural sovereignty and development. According to Burkina Faso's authorities, it is also about finding local strategies to better distribute and promote African films.

For talent and producers alike, FESPACO is a key moment: official competitions, the film and television market (MICA), professional meetings and many screenings open to the public.

Filmmakers who want to present their work should keep a close eye on the call for films published on the festival's official website.
