Terms of use

Last updated: 18 October 2026

By creating an account or using CineLinker, you accept these terms. The French version prevails in case of discrepancy.

1. Purpose

CineLinker connects screen talent (actors and technicians, hereafter “talent”) with recruiters (production companies, agencies and independent producers). It is published by [to be completed], [to be completed], registered office: [to be completed], registration number [to be completed].

CineLinker also lets verified trainers offer training courses and workshops to members (section 9).

CineLinker is not a party to any contract between talent and recruiters. It is neither an employer nor a talent agency and takes no commission on fees. It only takes a commission on paid training courses (section 9).

2. Account

Registration is free and requires a name, a valid email address (confirmed by a code) and a password. Phone numbers are optional and stay private. The account type (talent or recruiter) is chosen at sign-up and cannot be changed; the trainer role can be added to any account after verification by the team. Information must be accurate and kept up to date; accounts are personal.

3. Minors

Talent under 18 may register, but their profile is only visible, and can only be contacted, after a parent's or guardian's consent given by email. Their photos are never public and are only shown to verified recruiters.

4. Verification of recruiters and trainers, and badge

Recruiters must have their account verified (ID and proof of activity) before offering a role to talent or posting a casting call. Casting calls from verified recruiters go live immediately; the team may withdraw them at any time, giving the recruiter a reason.

Trainers must have their account verified (ID, CV and two references) before publishing a course. Each course is reviewed by the team before publication.

Talent may request the “Verified profile” badge. The team may grant, refuse or withdraw verifications and badges at any time.

5. Communication on the platform

For everyone’s safety, phone numbers, email addresses and links to other messaging apps are automatically blocked. Messaging opens once an offer is accepted or a talent is selected for a casting call.

6. Code of conduct

Prohibited: fake castings and any request for money from talent (registration, portfolio or casting fees…) other than training courses published and paid on CineLinker (section 9), harassment, sexual content involving minors, hate speech, impersonation, content the member does not own, automated data collection and any attempt to bypass the site’s protections. The team may hide content, suspend or delete accounts, and report serious matters to the authorities.

7. Reviews

After working together, talent and recruiters may rate each other from 1 to 5 stars. The average is shown from 3 reviews. The rated person has a right of reply. Abusive reviews may be removed.

8. Free of charge

Registering and using CineLinker is free for talent and recruiters: everyone gets the same chance to be seen. If paid options are offered later, their prices and terms will be published here before they go on sale.

9. Training courses

Courses are published by verified trainers after review by the team. The trainer alone is responsible for their content, delivery, venue and compliance with applicable rules. CineLinker connects members and collects payments but does not organise the courses.

Only signed-in members can request a course or enrol. Seats are limited and allocated in the order of confirmed enrolments.

Paid courses are paid on CineLinker by bank card in US dollars (USD) through our payment provider (Stripe, Inc., United States). CineLinker never sees or stores your card numbers. The seat is held for 30 minutes during payment.

CineLinker collects the price on behalf of the trainer, keeps a commission (currently 15%, shown to the trainer before publication) and pays the rest to the trainer using the details they provide. Asking for payment for a course outside CineLinker is prohibited.

After enrolling or paying, the student receives a unique, personal, non-transferable entry receipt with a QR code signed by CineLinker. It can be used once: the trainer checks it and validates the entry. A copied, altered or already used receipt may be refused.

If a course is cancelled by the trainer or the team, students are notified and refunded in full. For any other refund request, the student writes to CineLinker, which reviews it with the trainer. The right of withdrawal does not apply to courses scheduled on a specific date, where the law so provides.

10. Member content

Members keep ownership of what they post and grant CineLinker a free, worldwide licence to host, display and technically adapt it on the site and apps while it is published. Members guarantee they hold the necessary rights, including the consent of people who appear in their photos and videos.

11. Advertising

CineLinker is partly funded by advertising. Ads may be shown on the site and apps, according to your cookie choices.

12. Liability

CineLinker uses reasonable means to keep the service secure and available, without guarantee of result. It is not responsible for content posted by members, their exchanges, the delivery of training courses or the performance of contracts between them.

13. Suspension and deletion

Members can delete their account at any time from the settings. CineLinker may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, Amounts already paid are not refunded in case of serious breach, except cancelled courses, which are always refunded to students.

14. Changes

Members are informed on the site at least 30 days before a significant change takes effect. Continuing to use the service means accepting the new version.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of [to be completed]. Please first write to info@cinelinker.com to find an amicable solution; otherwise, the courts of [to be completed] have jurisdiction. Consumers keep the protection of the law of their country of residence.
